1.- Visit the Bethlehem
Once again, the Plaza de Gipuzkoa hosts a spectacular Bethlehem. Made up of 152 figures, these one meter high sculptures have become one of the most ingrained traditions of the festival. The colourful outdoor Bethlehem is one of the most popular Christmas attractions in the area and, of course, you cannot miss it!

2.- Attend the Christmas Concerts
What would become of the holidays without music and carols? A good plan for the whole family is, without a doubt, to attend one of the Christmas concerts organized in Donostia. The Plaza de Gipuzkoa will once again be a meeting point to enjoy these recitals.

3.- Go Shopping at the Christmas Markets

4.- Ice Skating
For children and not so children, the city has installed an ice rink in Plaza Catalunya. If you’ve never skated on ice it’s your chance to enjoy a fun family activity!

5.- Know the Fair of St. Thomas
December 21 is a big day in Donostia, as the expected Fiesta de Santo Tomás is celebrated. During this day the city is crawling with delicacies in the stalls that will be installed throughout the city. The stalls are sweet and savoury and defiantly a day to remember!

6.- Enjoy the Christmas Lighting
Since the beginning of December, Donostiarras and visitors have the opportunity to contemplate the Christmas lighting of the streets, trees and parks of the city. The decorative novelty this year is a huge luminous ball that envelops the emblematic statue of Don Quixote.
